Our showroom is open on an appointment only basis. We stock a large selection of pattern books and these are available to customers who wish to use our making up services. If preferred Janice will be happy to bring a selection of pattern books out to your home when she comes to measure. We prefer to offer the pattern books for exclusive use of our customers and are not able to loan them out for home use where we are not making up the items required.
With effect from Thursday 4th November the showroom will be closed, in line with government recommendations, however if you would like to contact us we will put a selection of pattern books in the shed for you to collect and browse through at your home. Janice is still available to come out and measure in your home and can also bring a selection of pattern books.

Due to COVID19 we operate an a pre-booked appointment system in our showroom to ensure that there is only one customer in the showroom at any time. Appointments are available Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm. Weekend and evenings also available at prior request.

After one cancellation caused by adverse weather, on Sunday 21st June Janice undertook a Wing Walk – every bit as daring as it sounds – see the illustration below. She had been preparing for it for some time with one of the criteria that has had to be met being some weight loss as there was a maximum weight for those undertaking this ‘daring deed’. She is raising money for the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity; she has recently had close family members effected by cancer.
Janice was pleased and relieved to able to complete the Wing Walk she had decided to do to raise money for the Marie Curie charity. The Wing Walk had had to be put back by a week as the weather was just too poor for it to take place on the original date. The delay meant another week of very careful eating as there was a strict weight limit for those completing the challenge. There was also a change of airfield from the original Wickenby to Breighton but a group of friends were still able to attend and cheer Janice on. Confessing to some degree of nerves Janice had a last briefing at 1.30pm before take off. She found the experience totally exhilarating and is delighted that it will hopefully have made some £4,000 for the charity, considerably exceeding her initial expectations.
Many friends and valued customers have already sponsored Janice. Her page on the Just Giving website was included in their top 1% of donation pages for May, and her original target has been well exceeded. But, it is certainly not too late for anyone who would like to make a donation which can be easily done by clicking onto the Marie Curie image.
